While we were coming back from eating Bhong from Sakhakot, Mardan, we went to Takht-i-Bahi. Takht-i-Bahi (also spelled Takht Bahi, Takht Bai or Takh Bay – urdu تخت بھائی) is a Parthian archaeological site in Mardan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. These are the best preserved remains of earliest Buddhist Monastery. We were late there so were only allowed to visit for ~1 hour before the complex gets closed. The entrance fee is 10 Pakistani Rupees. I still have my ticket with me.
On our way back, Fayaz started to tell me the story of Gul Meer. It was already started to dark & this story make me fear. So we rushed to our car. Although we were there for just one hour & were only able to see the glimpse of this place but I was fascinated by the details of construction. Hope I come here again some day to see this place in more details.
